1967 Greek coup d'état : ウィキペディア英語版
Greek military junta of 1967–74

The Greek military junta of 1967–74, commonly known as the Regime of the Colonels ((ギリシア語:καθεστώς των Συνταγματαρχών), ), or in Greece simply The Junta ( or ; , (:ˈxunda)), The Dictatorship (, ) and The Seven Years (, ), was a series of right-wing military juntas that ruled Greece following the 1967 Greek coup d'état led by a group of colonels on 21 April 1967. The dictatorship ended on 24 July 1974 under the pressure of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus.
==Background==

The 1967 coup and the following seven years of military rule were the culmination of 30 years of national division between the forces of the Left and the Right that can be traced to the time of the resistance against Axis occupation of Greece during World War II. After the liberation in 1944, Greece descended into a civil war, fought between the communist forces and the now-returned government-in-exile.
